2025 Update
Change Energy is progressing the installation of it’s first behind the meter battery for our customer in January 2026. The battery has been bought through I-Store, and completed all requirements to connect to the Western Power grid.
Focus of Managed Energy Services
MES is designed to reduce the costs of network and capacity charges, both charges that have been increasing by more than inflation over the past few years. Our view is that as the transmission system is expanded (outlined in the SWIS Transmission Plan) and we move to six hour batteries (outlined in the AEMO ESSO), both network and capacity charges will continue to increase.
